Two items from outer space caught my eye today; one from Kevin Coupe of MorningNewsBeat on his weekly podcast, describing an NYT column by Glenn Smith on harvesting solar power in space; and the other from several sources, where Dr. Ed Mitchell, who was an astronaut on the Apollo 14 mission, talking about the reality of space aliens.
Being an avid fan of sci-fi and space, I want to believe Dr. Mitchell, but I think Mr. Smith's ideas may prove to be more, uh.... grounded. And wouldn't it be totally cool to live in a city powered from space?
